What are Essential Oils?
They are produced by plants to help:
1. Many essential oils are produced naturally by plants to help to repel germs or insects.

Cinnamon Bark
Cinnamon bark oil is derived from a tropical, evergreen tree and has been used to promote circulation both internally and when applied to the skin. Additionally, ts high aldehyde content makes it a useful antimicrobial and antiseptic.
Cloves
Indigenous to Indonesia and Madagascar, Eugenia caryophyllata (AKA Cloves) can be found in nature on the buds of the evergreen tree. However, humans have converted cloves into an essential oil for various medicinal purposes, including warding off parasites as well as killing fungi and mold.
Lemongrass
Cymbopogon citratus (AKA Lemongrass) is an herb which belongs to the grass family of Poaceae. Well known and utilized for its distinct lemon flavor and citrusy aroma, lemongrass offers a wide array of medicinal benefits as well as antibacterial, anti-fungal and antimicrobial properties.
Peppermint
Native to Europe, peppermint is one of the oldest herbs used for medicinal purposes historically. A natural antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal and analgesic (pain reliever), peppermint oil acts as an excellent anti-parasitic as well.
Ginger
Mainly used as a culinary spice, ginger actually has a myriad of medicinal properties that go beyond the kitchen. For many, it is coveted as a powerful tool to help with indigestion and nausea.
Lavender
Commonly known as the most "versatile" of the essential oils, Lavender (AKA lavandula angustifolia). In fact, ancient civilizations have been using Lavender oil for medicinal and religious purposes for over 2,500 years. Benefits include reduction of stress, improving sleep quality, alleviating headaches, and much more!
Eucalyptus
Native to Australia, the Eucalyptus tree (also known as Tasmanian Blue Gum), produces an essential oil with powerful medicinal qualities. One widely celebrated property of the Eucalyptus is it's ability to ward off microorganisms and other toxins. Additionally, it has been proven to do wonders for odor, mold, and fungi elimination!
Rosemary
Also known as Rosmarinus Officinalis, Rosemary is well-known for it's aromatic properties as well as it's uses in the culinary world. However, few understand that amazing medicinal properties it contains! In fact, rosemary has been used for centuries as an aid for indigestion as well as an anti inflammatory!
